Building on the earlier suggestion, i lowkey disagree with only looking at R6 II deals since a used Canon EOS R5 Body is better for long-term wedding work...

Canon EOS R6 Mark II Body: Insane AF but 24MP is low for big prints.

Canon EOS R5 Body: 45MP is a total BEAST for cropping and feels more pro. Just grab the Canon Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R and you wont regret the extra resolution...

Just get any mirrorless from Canon and youll be fine for that wedding tbh.

Go with Sony if you want more third party lens options that are cheaper.

Check sites like Greentoe where you can bid on new gear. Sony has better lens variety but Canon has the colors...

Rarely post but saw this. TL;DR: Buy refurbished. @Reply #2 - good point! The Canon EOS R6 Mark II Body has dual slots for weddings; the Canon EOS R8 Body doesn't. Use the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R.

Like someone mentioned, the refurb store is lowkey the best hack for staying under budget but i gotta ask... are you planning on keeping your EF glass or are you trying to go all in on RF lenses right away? because if you have a bunch of 5D glass you should just grab the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R and spend the rest on the body ngl. the autofocus jump from the 5D IV to the Canon EOS R6 Mark II is actually gonna blow your mind its basically CHEATING for weddings. here is what id look for to stay under $2200:

the official canon refurb store usually drops the Canon EOS R6 Mark II Body to like $1700-1800 during big holiday pushes which is a steal.

check out Greentoe if you havent... you can bid like $2000 for a new one and sometimes an authorized dealer will just take it to move stock without breaking MAP rules.

if you absolutely need a kit lens today, the Canon EOS R6 Mark II with RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM Lens is the budget pick but id honestly just adapt your old L glass for better results. just make sure you dont buy from those random brooklyn camera shops that look too good to be true because theyll bait and switch you for sure...

honestly im so done with my old 5D mark iv it keeps locking up mid shoot and the autofocus is just missing everything lately like i was at a portrait session last week in Chicago and half the shots were blurry it was so embarrassing tbh i just cant deal with it anymore and im ready to jump to mirrorless finally and everyone says the r6 mark ii is the way to go and im actually really excited because i think itll change everything for my workflow but i need to find a killer deal because my budget is strictly around $2200 for the body and maybe a lens kit if i can swing it since i have a big wedding coming up in mid December and i need to get used to the new system before then... i feel like im checking every site but everything looks the same price everywhere and im getting kinda anxious that ill miss the window or itll sell out before i can pull the trigger because my current gear is basically a paperweight at this point and i need this upgrade badly even though my bank account is gonna hate me lol... does anyone know if there are any hidden coupons or like specific shops that usually do better bundles for cyber monday than b&h or adorama or am i just gonna have to pay full price? where can i find the best canon r6 mark ii deals this cyber monday?
