Are there any DJI Avata 3 Black Friday deals expected in 2026?

Honestly I'm just so fed up with my current DIY FPV setup—it’s constant troubleshooting and I’m ready to just toss the whole thing and go DJI for the reliability. I've been doing some digging into when the Avata 3 might actually drop because the Avata 2 is decent, but I really need those rumored sensor upgrades for the low-light indoor real estate tours I do here in London. I checked a few leak sites and some older Reddit threads, but most of them are just speculating based on the 2-year release cycle (Avata 1 in 2022, Avata 2 in early 2024).

If that pattern holds, we're likely looking at a Spring 2026 release, but I'm trying to figure out if it's even worth holding out for Black Friday 2026 or if DJI usually keeps the newest tech at full price for the first year. My budget is capped at about £1,200 for the full combo and I don't want to overspend if a deal is actually likely.

My constraints:

  • Must be 'plug and play' (I'm done with soldering forever)
  • Needs better low-light than the current 1/1.3-inch sensor
  • Needs to be compact enough for my travel gear

I saw one forum post saying DJI rarely discounts flagship stuff within six months of launch, which would really suck if it drops in mid-2026. Does anyone remember if the Avata 2 had any real movement during its first Black Friday? Or am I just dreaming...

So funny you ask this — last summer I tracked DJI Avata 2 Explorer Combo pricing for months. Like someone mentioned, no discounts happened during the first holiday cycle. Are you planning to reuse DJI Goggles 3 or does the £1,200 need to cover a full kit? DJI usually only discounts older bundles, so knowing your current gear helps determine if that budget is realistic for a 2026 flagship.

Honestly, ngl, DJI is lowkey stingy with brand-new drops — I remember hunting for deals on the DJI Avata 2 FPV Drone Combo and there was basically nothing. If that DJI Avata 3 drops mid-2026:

  • Don't expect huge BF discounts; maybe just a free battery.
  • Your £1,200 budget might be tight for a full combo tbh. Wait, no — I mean, they almost never discount flagships in the first year.

Been using this for years, no complaints
