im desperate to get a Z9 for my wedding season starting in Dec so i was thinking maybe black friday will finally drop the price to like $4500? torn between waiting or just buying a used one now or even a Z8 but i really need that Z9 battery life tbh. do u guys think itll actually drop much?

The Nikon Z8 is tempting but the battery life is a joke — wait, no — it’s the Z9's dual CFexpress slots that offer the real peace of mind over the Nikon Z6 III which lacks the resolution for pro wedding crops.

How many gigs you booked? The Nikon Z9 Body is pricey — wait — the Nikon Z8 Body plus a DIY battery rig saved me a ton over the bulky Nikon D6 Body.

These cameras are rated for 500,000 cycles. A used unit with 50,000 clicks is effectively new and already hits your $4500 budget. Waiting for a seasonal sale while you have booked gigs is a mistake. Get the tool that handles the workload.
