Torn between a 7800 XT or a 7900 GRE for 1440p gaming on Windows. Budget is $500 max and I'm avoiding anything with a massive triple-fan cooler that won't fit my case. I've been checking Newegg and Amazon, but is Micro Center usually better for these? Which retailer has the best AMD discounts?

Look, if you got a Micro Center nearby, quit wasting time on Amazon. They got the best open box deals period. Listen, for $500 and a small case, you want the Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB. It fits where others dont. Newegg is fine but honestly Micro Center is KING for bundle pricing. Just get it and be done.

this comes up a lot but the short answer is check the Newegg 'Zip' promo codes... they lowkey save you like $50 easy. for a $500 budget and a small case, look at:
- ASRock Challenger AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16G
- ASRock Challenger AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB these are way more compact than those massive triple-fan slabs. just gotta be quick when the deals drop... honestly the GRE is the play if it hits $500.
