Are there DJI Osmo Pocket 4 deals for Black Friday 2026?

So I've been looking at the release cycles—Pocket 2 was late 2020, Pocket 3 was late 2023—so a Pocket 4 in late 2025 or early 2026 seems super likely. I'm prepping for a big Japan trip in Jan 2027 and I'm torn between holding out for a Black Friday 2026 deal on the Pocket 4 or just snagging a discounted Pocket 3. I checked some old price trackers and DJI usually just does those 'gift with purchase' things for new models (which kinda sucks). My budget is strictly under $550 for the whole kit. I also looked at the Insta360 stuff but the gimbal on the Pocket is just way better for low light. Do you think we'll see actual cash off the Pocket 4 by then, or is it gonna be full price?

DJI hardware rarely sees direct price cuts within the first year of release. If the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 follows the expected three-year cycle and arrives in late 2025, the Black Friday 2026 window will likely only offer "value-add" bundles. You should expect a free DJI Mic 2 or a microSD card rather than a cash discount. The MSRP will likely sit at $519 for the standard kit and $669 for the Creator Combo. Your $550 budget is a major constraint for a brand-new release. A base DJI Osmo Pocket 4 might fit the budget, but you will miss the battery handle and the mechanical tripod. For a trip to Japan, the extra battery life is non-negotiable. Walking 20,000 steps a day through Kyoto or Shinjuku drains the internal cell fast. You are better off buying a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo during the 2026 sales. It will likely drop to $449 or $479, leaving you room for high-capacity storage and ND filters. The low-light performance on the current 1-inch sensor is already top-tier. Unless the fourth version introduces a significantly larger sensor or global shutter, the real-world difference for travel vlogging will be marginal. Stick to the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 to ensure you have the full accessory kit within your price limit.

search the forum, this comes up a lot but the short answer is DJI doesnt do deep cuts on new stuff. i tried holding out for a deal on the DJI Osmo Pocket 2 and just wasted time before my last flight. honestly your $550 budget wont go far with a DJI Osmo Pocket 4 kit... id just grab a discounted DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo and be done with it.

  • How many hours of daily video are we talking?

I think I heard prices might jump—wait, no—not sure, but I gotta keep that cost-per-year low (saved a ton DIY-ing plumbing)!
