I’ve been digging through price trackers like CamelCamelCamel to see how DJI usually discounts older models—trying to prep for Black Friday 2026. I’m planning a big hiking trip in the North Cascades next summer and finally need a sub-250g drone. I’m torn between the standard Mini 4 Pro kit and the Fly More Combo with the RC 2 screen (I really want that built-in screen—phone batteries are the worst). My budget is capped at $700. I'm leaning toward the Fly More for the extra flight time, but I'm not sure if the combos get the same deep discounts as the base units. Do you think the 4 Pro will hit that $700 mark for the Fly More by then? Oh, forgot to ask if DJI typically does better deals on their own site versus Costco.

- This comes up a lot — search the forum for 'price history' threads — but I think that $650 estimate is actually quite conservative. By 2026, we’ll be several models ahead, so that $700 budget will go way further than you think. One thing to add — wait, no — I mean, definitely check the DJI official refurbished store. People get nervous about 'used' gear (I used to be one of them) but it's basically brand new and the best way to snag the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo with RC 2 cheap. If you're hiking the North Cascades, you'll absolutely need that DJI RC 2 for the screen brightness — phone screens are just impossible in direct sun — and honestly, buying from Costco is the best budget move for their insane return policy alone.

- Buy the combo. Separate batteries cost 30% more per flight hour.
- Costco usually has the best bundles. I saved $140 there over the dealer price.
- Check DJI's refurbished section. I saved $150 upfront and do all my own repairs to keep the cost per year low.
