Should I wait until Black Friday 2026 to buy the AMD RX 8800? I really need a better PC for flight sim because mine keeps crashing. I'm in rural Canada and shipping is a nightmare so I need to plan ahead. My budget is only $500 max. Sorry if this is a dumb question, I have no idea how any of this works. Will the price actually go down that much by then?

I'm no expert but I just looked into this last week for my own upgrade. Waiting until Black Friday 2026 is too long if your PC is currently crashing. The RX 8000 series should launch in early 2025. A $500 CAD budget will not likely cover an 8800 level card even with sales. Flight sims need significant VRAM. I found the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB stays around $670 CAD. Within your $500 limit, the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB is available now for roughly $430 CAD. It has the 16GB VRAM required for stable flight sim performance. You could also search for a used AMD Radeon RX 6800 16GB. Waiting two years to save $100 isn't worth the downtime.
