I'm totally new to this—I’ve only ever used Apple stuff—so sorry if this is a dumb question. I looked at 4090 price trackers (they didn't really drop?) but I'm still confused. Living in a small apartment, I just want a quiet setup. Will RTX 5090 prices drop during Black Friday 2026? I'm not very tech-savvy...

Oh man, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090?

  • Prices won't drop (never do)
  • Demand is insane Wait — the ASUS ROG Strix RTX 4090 never budged anyway. Bottom line: buy when you can!

Nvidia flagship prices do not drop for Black Friday. Retailers have no incentive to discount cards that sell out at full price. Check the price history on PCPartPicker for the previous generation; prices usually spiked in November due to low inventory. Most 'Black Friday' sales are marketing traps for low-end hardware. Everyone recommends the 5090 for max specs, but they ignore the heat output. In a small apartment, a 450W-600W card will dump enough heat to raise your room temperature by 5-10 degrees, forcing the fans to spin faster and louder. If quiet is the goal, you should prioritize efficiency over raw power.

  • Monitor 'NowInStock' or 'Keepa' to see real-time price trends and avoid scalper markups.
  • Look into ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua Edition specifically for the quietest air cooling available.
  • Get a high-efficiency power supply like the Seasonic Prime TX-1000 Titanium to reduce waste heat inside the case.
  • Avoid 'OC' (Overclocked) editions as they use more voltage for negligible gains and create more fan noise. A 5090 is effectively a space heater. For a quiet, small apartment setup, a high-end 5070 or 5080 will be much more tolerable than a 5090 screaming at 100% fan speed.

tbh waitin for a price drop on a flagship is just gonna lead to disappointment... but i gotta ask, how small is the actual case youre building in? if you want it QUIET in a small apartment, maybe look at MSI Suprim Liquid RTX 5080 instead cuz it stays way cooler and quieter than the air versions, ngl.
