so ive been looking at the pocket 3 and man i really want it for my trip to Japan in early 2027 but im kinda worried about the price... like will it actually go on sale in 2026? i read on some blog that dji is super stingy with discounts especially on the pocket series but then i saw a youtube comment saying wait for the 4 to drop so the 3 gets cheap but i dont even know if a 4 is coming out yet tbh.

  • budget is like $450 max for the combo
  • mostly for vlogging in Kyoto/Tokyo
  • really need that low light performance

do you guys think itll actually hit a good price or am i just dreaming...

Look, Ive been in the shop for 25 years and I know when someone is overthinking the math. Listen, waiting until late 2026 for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo is a gamble. DJI gear is like a high-end torque wrench; it stays PRICEY because it actually works. Like someone mentioned, you might hit that $450 mark but it wont be easy unless a newer model is taking up shelf space.

  • Stop looking for 50% off deals, they dont exist for this brand.
  • Focus on the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 base model if the combo stays high.
  • Low light is great but u still need a steady hand. Ngl if you want it for a big trip just buy the refurbished unit and be done with it. Stop chasing a few bucks and get the gear you need...

> i read on some blog that dji is super stingy with discounts especially on the pocket series Honestly it’s ridiculous how these tech companies — especially DJI — just refuse to budge on pricing even when a product is years old. I’m in the exact same boat and looking at the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 tags just drives me crazy — wait, no — it's more like it's actually insulting that we have to hunt for refurbished units just to save a tiny bit of cash. It’s such a scam how they control the market so tightly that "sales" are basically non-existent.

  • Buy the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo refurbished from the DJI store to hit that $450 target.
  • Monitor the 2025 release cycle; a newer model usually triggers a $100 price cut on older stock. The 1-inch CMOS sensor handles high ISO much better than the DJI Pocket 2. Anyway, bottom line is that $450 for the combo is realistic by late 2026.
