Any good Canon RF lens bundles predicted for Cyber Monday 2026?

Been scouring rumors sites and looking at Canon's past holiday trends—usually they just bundle the mid-range f/4 zooms, but I'm hoping for something meatier by Cyber Monday 2026. I'm an intermediate shooter with an R6 Mark II and I'm torn between the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 and the beastly 28-70mm f/2. I do travel/portrait work, so weight is a huge factor—but that f/2 bokeh is tempting. Budget is capped at $2,400. I found some old threads saying the 24-70 rarely goes on deep discount unless it's a body kit, which doesn't help me since I already own the camera. Do we think they'll finally bundle the pro glass? Also—forgot it needs to fit in my 6L sling...

Bundles rarely include pro glass. Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM is lighter for travel. Canon RF 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM is superior for portraits. Both fit your 6L sling easily.

I track every gear purchase on a cost-per-use basis over a five-year lifecycle. Based on historical data, Canon rarely drops the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM below $2,099 even on Cyber Monday. You will not see a pro glass bundle that stays under your $2,400 cap if you are looking for more than one lens.

  • Weight and size: The Canon RF 28-70mm f/2L USM weighs 1,430g. It will not fit in a Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L with an R6 Mark II body. I tried to cram similar gear into a small bag once to avoid buying a larger one. I ended up having to repair the zipper myself with some heavy-duty thread. The shop wanted $60 for the fix, but I did it for the $2 cost of the thread.
  • Practicality: The f/2.8 version has Image Stabilization. This allows for slower shutter speeds, which means you do not need a tripod for most travel shots. I built a custom mounting bracket for my car out of scrap aluminum to avoid the $120 retail price of a professional suction mount. This saved me a ton on unnecessary accessories.
  • Ownership cost: These lenses hold 80% of their value. Buying the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM for $2,100 and selling it in five years for $1,600 makes your cost of ownership $100 per year. That is less than I spend on milk for my three kids in a month.
