So i've been rocking the original R5 since launch day and honestly its been a total beast but i think its finally time to upgrade because the autofocus on the Mark II is just insane from what I've seen in reviews anyway i'm based in Seattle and mostly do high school sports photography so that eye tracking is gonna be a total lifesaver for me... i've been saving up and got about $3200 set aside but i really want to stretch that budget to maybe get a new RF lens too so i'm looking ahead. I know it seems early but i like to plan my gear cycles way in advance lol so do you guys think we're actually gonna see any legit Canon R5 Mark II Cyber Monday deals for 2026 or is it still gonna be stuck at full price by then?

Oh man, by 2026 the Canon EOS R5 Mark II will definitely have deep discounts — probably $500 off — since it’ll be two years old (and practically 'vintage'). Bottom line is yes!
