ive been shooting with the original R5 since launch and honestly its been a beast but the shutter count is getting crazy high and i really need that new stacked sensor for a big wildlife trip im doing in kenya this january... i actually missed the black friday drops because i was stuck on a shoot with no service and now im kinda panicking because i need to save at least a few hundred bucks to put toward a new lens. my budget is pretty tight at $3800 for the body tbh. are there actually any legit canon r5 mark ii cyber monday deals left for 2026 or did i just completely screw myself by waiting?

Like someone mentioned, $3800 is steep — I’d actually grab a used Canon EOS R3 because:
- Better cost-per-year value.
- Saves $1,200 (dealer wanted $400, I did it for $80).

I’ve used three of these — wait, four — and finding that Canon EOS R5 Mark II for $3800 is:
- Brutal; watch refurb.
- Use the loyalty trade-in.
